I was just an infant during the 1979 election. Well actually I was a fetus for some of the campaign and then I was an infant, I became a toddler during reagans time in office.
But seriously why wasn’t he re-elected? I remember hating Reagan as kid. I remember thinking that he is scarying us. Spelling tests are scary, making me think there was a communist darth vader coming toget me was not cool.
I know there was some hostitage problem… that really didn’t go as smoothly as you would have liked, I am not 100% sure what happened I will have to look it up but i think what happened rather then sending in para troopers Carter paid ransom … and that took a while.. and wasn’t manly… but again I am not sure and I will have to look it up
But ummm look at this http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/amex/carter/filmmore/ps_crisis.html
Imagine if we did that when I was baby????
Themes, Templates, Css, Frameworks … this is what it is all about!
http://www.oswd.org/
Well there are may other sites that offer templates but yea you know what I mean
Ok so the whole idea behind these things is to take the modularity that we developer folks have been using for years (reuse code / libraries) and hand it over to our friends over in the creative department
Basically rather then having to start every design off by fixing the offset that ie does why not have an ie reset file that you use in every project
Ta da! the begining of the CSS frameworks.
Well maybe
Really I just heard about it via rumor, and I always believe every rumor I hear
It is part of my charm
Really it is

Yet another CSS framework
This one blueprint is a google project. Well google hosted.
So that gives me hope that it will be maintained well into the future.

Some useful details here:
http://code.google.com/p/blueprintcss/wiki/Tutorial
Project Blog: http://bjorkoy.com/
hmmm it comes with ruby scripts to validate your css againist w3… which is dandy… If you are building on ruby … :-/
Although cheat sheets are always cool: http://www.digitart.net/blueprintcss/bluebrintcss.pdf
And nothing beats a link page that someone else maintains http://code.google.com/p/blueprintcss/wiki/Links
hmmm one thing that I don’t like that I see so far is that the classes / id’s / namespace whatever you want to call it are not generic enough. ’span-8′ might be troublesome…
